The bargeboards end in reared naga.A flight of tiled staircase leads up to the viharn, which is flanked by whitewashed balustrades, and guarded by a pair of guardian lions, or singha. Within the viharn are red-lacquered columns holding up the roof. At the end of it is its principal image of the monastery, the Phra Singh buddha. Getting thereFrom Tha Phae Gate, walk along Ratchadamnoen Road until you reach Wat Chai Phra Kiat, which is about 2000 ft from the gate.Nearby Sights |
