Wat Muen LanWat Muen Lan is the first temple you reach upon crossing Tha Phae Gate into the old city. It is just a small wat. The ho trai, or manuscript house, bears elements of Burmese-inspired style. The ho trai is square and built of teak while its base is stucco. What to seeThe Burmese-style ho trai is worth a look. It is located next to the small viharn. Next to the ho trai is the whitewashed chedi of the wat. Admire the gilded sum over the windows and doorway in the form of coiled naga.Getting thereWat Muen Lan is located on the north side of Ratchadamnoen Road, west of Tha Phae Gate. It is the first temple you see after passing through the gate.Nearby Sights |
